RE: RELOCATION OF THE OFFICE OF HIGH PLAINS LIBRARY SYSTEM TO
THE WALTON BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the High Plains Library System has had office space
in the Printing and Supplies area of the Centennial Center , which
the Board of County Commissioners has pointed out, now needs to be
used for additional storage, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, that there is available space in
the Walton Building, 315 North 11th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado,
where the Department of Social Services is presently housed, for
the High Plains Library System office, and
WHEREAS, it has been further determined by the Board that
due to the fact that High Plains Library System' s budget is
set until October, 1977 when their new budget becomes effective,
they would be in a position to pay a $600. 00 per year rental fee for
office space, and that effective October, 1977 , when their new budget
becomes effective, High Plains Library System will pay $3 . 60 per
square foot for rent, which is the present amount being paid by the
Department of Social Services for rent of office space in the Walton
Building.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the agreement with High Plains
Library System for its use of office space in the Walton Building,
will be at the rate of $600 a year until October, 1977 , and at $3. 60
per square foot per year for a total of $1, 200. 00 annually effec-
tive October, 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of
August, A.D. , 1977 .
