wording better expresses the intent of the decisions voted •on at
previous meetings. Also, The Board of Trustees would like to meet
with the Health Committee before we have our Third Reading revisions.

Dear Ms. Clark:
Confirming our telephone conversation relative to a review of the proposed
Charter on questions which have been raised at some of the Public Hearings, the
following suggestions are made for consideration of the Health Committee&
Page 9 - add clause interlined between lines l!1 and 15: "except the Board
of Trustees of Weld County General Hospital"
Page 16 - change first part of line 11 to read: "(ii Except as otherwise
provided in this Charter, each department may be administered..."
Pages 21, 22 and 23 - insert the word "Public" preceding the word Health in
p. 21 - lines 16 and 18; p. 22 - line ]1i; p. 23 - lines 3, 10 and 15.
Page 23 - Substitute a new Section B -lines 16 through 21 to read:
"B. Weld County General Hospital Division:
(1) This division shall be administered exclusively by the Board of
Trustees of Weld County General Hospital, and separately from any Director
appointed for the Department of Health Services.
(2) Except as provided in subsections (3) and (4) hereof, the Board
of Trustees of Weld County General Hospital shall govern, and such hospital
shall be administered under Title 25, Article 3, Part 3, CRS 173. The said
Board of Trustees shall provide for the hospital purchasing and personnel
administration, policies, rules and regulations, which shall be in full
compliance with Federal and State requirements; and when so 4esignated for
any category by the said Board of Trustees, the hospital may utilize the
general County purchasing and personnel divisions established by the Board
of County Commissioners.
(3) Members of the Board of Trustees of Weld County General Hospital
shall be appointed for three year terms, and no person shall serve more than
two consecutive terms.
(1i) The County Attorney shall represent and advise the Board of Trustees
of Weld County General Hospital*"
Page hl - add on end of line 7: "Interest on County Hospital funds shall be
retained in such funds."
The above suggestions would not appear to do violence to decisions made by the
Charter Commission, and should lend to clear up misapprehensions of those who have
made thoughtful suggestions at the Public Hearings.
