Dear Mr. Scheere and Mr. Hedberg,
The Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division (Division) reviewed the NWLF 2007
Groundwater Monitoring Plan Update (document revised May 2007) that was attached to your letter
dated May 30, 2007. Additionally, the Division reviewed the NWLF 2008 Groundwater Monitoring
Plan Updated Table 7-1 that was enclosed with an EarthTech letter dated May 1, 2008.
The primary 2007 Groundwater Monitoring Plan Update revisions are:
1) Changed the front cover page of the Updated Groundwater Monitoring Plan to reflect the plan
update;
2) Updated the Revision Summary page to document the plan updates;
3) General Text Edits
• Changed the well designation of MW9 to MW-9 in Section 1.4.2 for consistency.
• Updated the information in Section 5. 1.2 to include low flow or minimal drawdown
purging as an alternative method employed at the site.
• Updated the information in Appendix 4 (Directory).
The 2008 Groundwater Monitoring Plan Update revision consisted of an updated Table 7-1 that was
made as a result of the U.S. EPA Method Update Rule, which recognizes new methods numbers and
additionally updates laboratory reporting limits associated with those methods.
