RE: APPROVE PETITION FOR ABATEMENT OR REFUND OF TAXES - COMPLETE
ENERGY SERVICES CES ROCKIES DIVISION, C/O MERIT APPRAISAL AND TAX
CONSULTING, L.P.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at
a duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 13th day of September, 2010, at which
meeting there were present the following members: Chair Douglas Rademacher, and
Commissioners Sean P. Conway, William F. Garcia, Barbara Kirkmeyer, and David E. Long,
and
WHEREAS, notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present has been given to
the taxpayer and the Assessor of said County, with said Assessor, Christopher Woodruff, being
present, and taxpayer Complete Energy Services CES Rockies Division, do Merit Appraisal and
Tax Consulting, L.P., not being present, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has carefully considered the attached
petition, and is fully advised in relation thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Board concurs with the recommendation of the Assessor and
the petition be and hereby is, approved, and an abatement or refund be allowed as follows:

Leslie,
The crimp machine went to LEED, the office furniture I believe may have been put under the wrong address to begin
with.
We worked together on the cleanup of everything for all of the other companies this year, I am unsure when and who
put this stuff on here and why it didn't get changed...
But as of Nov 2008 the 1892 Denver Ave. address didn't exist, and these items didn't exist there either. I am not really
sure what our next steps need to be....

OK...so the CES Rockies location closed in 2008 and their assets were split between Leed and A&W but were
erroneously rendered in the '09 rendition. There should not have been an '09 rendition for CES Rockies. You did not
mention the crimp machine and office furniture...who received those assets?
I did not render CES Rockies in 2010.
Please advise.

What happened in this incident is this.
The items were on CES Rockies in lump sums, these assets were split out between A&W Water and LEED Energy
Services.
What you have as Shop Equipment for CES Rockies$32,339 is on A&W's 2010 Rendition and needs to be removed from
CES Rockies 2010 rendition. Same with the Shop Hoist$4,257 and the Shop Tools$19,339.These were all items that
were transferred to A&W Water Service in October 2008. CES Rockies DOES NOT have an existing location at 1892
Denver Ave.

I hope I'm asking the right person. If not, please forward and let me know.
OK...Laura Fritz tells me assets were rendered by her in 2009 for A&W Water that were also rendered by us for CES
Rockies. I'm trying to help the Weld Co. Assessor determine the duplicated assets. Scott Wright sent me the breakdown
for A&W's rendition but what I have for CES Rockies is lump sum totals (shop equipment, office equipment, shop tools,
etc.). Is there any breakdown on those numbers for 2009?
Please advise.

This is to advise you that the Weld County Board of Commissioners will hear your petition for
abatement or refund of taxes on the property described as: 1892 N Denver Ave, Ft Lupton, CO
80621. The meeting is scheduled for September 13, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., in the First Floor Meeting
Room, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
The Assessor is recommending that the Board approve your petition. You are not required to be
present at this hearing; however, this is your opportunity to have your position heard, especially if
your position is opposed to the Assessor's recommendation. If you intend to submit any
documentation in support of your position for this hearing, all such documentation must be
