To The Honorable Board of County Commissioners,
weld county, Greeley, Colorado .
We, the undersigned, respectfully petition that you grade
and gravel the following described road: ,
Coltimencin& at the ioc:d n a: the South lire of Sec': for 5,
T . 2 .N. R. 68 West, thence North 1 mile through the center
of said section 5, thence about 7/8 of a mile East along
the .North side of the N.E.* of said section 5 and the
I .W.4 of _Section 4, T. 2 N. 11.68 West,_ thence about i. mile
South through the N.W.$ of said section 4, making a total
of slightly less than 2i- miles .
This road is impassable at times in wet weather and the .
postal authorities have seriously threatened to discontinue the
mail route thereon. The road also passes the Foster beet dump and
its improvement is sadly needed for transporting beets , by the ,
farmers. •
_ --
We feel that the County should improve this road as
requested, without expense, aside from payment of taxes, to the
undersigned, but 'we are willing and hereby agree to contribute
the amount of work or money set opposite :our respective names.
It is our suggestion that the grading be done by the county soon,
so that the gravel may be hauled by the farmers immediately after
thrashing and __before beet harvest this year.
