SUB ECT: Tandem Axle Dump Truck Bid, B1100011
COLORADO
The Public Works Department recommends awarding this bid to the low bidder, Transwest Trucks,
for one Tandem Axle Dump Truck with a Layton Sander and Plow at a cost of$141,000. Option #1
(Battery Kill Switch) is an additional $200. We want to add the 20,000 lb front axle at a cost of
$2,000 to make this truck consistent with the existing fleet which adds dual power steering, heavier
weight axle for plowing/hauling operations. The total cost of the purchase is $143,200.00.
There is $155,000 budgeted for this purchase. If you have any questions, please call me at
