RESOLUTION
RE: INSTALLATION OF SPEED ZONE REDUCTION SIGNS ON COUNTY ROAD
NO. 5 BETWEEN COUNTY ROAD NO. 12 AND STATE-'HIGHWAY'.NO. 52.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering Services
has conducted a study of the traffic that traverses County Road
No. 5 between County Road No. 12 and State Highway No. 52 in
Weld County, Colorado, and has recommended to the Board of County
Commissioners that a portion of County Road No. 5, being approx-
imately z mile, be regulated to require a 35 m.p.h. speed
limit thereon, and that appropriate speed limit signs and speed
reduction signs be installed all as per the attached plat, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has studied the recommendations of the Department of
Engineering Services and has determined that said signs and the
imposition of said speed limit is necessary for the protection
of the public safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the speed limit of a
portion of County Road No. 5 between County Road No. 12 and State
Highway No. 52, be and hereby is determined to be 35 m.p.h. from
and after the date of this Resolution, and the Department of
Engineering Services is hereby directed to install appropriate
signs all as per the attached plat.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 6th day of
June, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 8th day of June, A.D. , 1977.
