RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVE ASSIGNMENT OF TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATES TO THOMAS LEEPER
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board now is the owner of certain Tax Lien Sale Certificates, a list of which
is attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof,which is for the value of the 2008 taxes,and
WHEREAS, the subject properties are located throughout Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on March 10, 2010, March 25, 2010 and April 22, 2010,Thomas Leeper paid to
the Treasurer the total sum of Fourteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Thirty-Six and 96/100 Dollars
($14,936.96)for the purchase of the Tax Sale Certificates for the properties listed and described on
Exhibit A, which amount represents the value of the 2008 base tax, plus delinquent interest from
May 1, 2009, through November 2, 2009; an advertising fee; an internet fee; a rebilling fee;
redemption interest from November 2, 2009, through April 30, 2010; and an assignment fee; and
WHEREAS, the Board has the authority to assign the Tax Lien Sale Certificates in this
manner, pursuant to Section 39-11-120, C.R.S., effective March 31, 2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer be and hereby is directed to prepare Tax Lien
Sale Certificates for the properties listed on Exhibit A for assignment to Thomas Leeper.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is authorized to
sign said assignments, if necessary, and any other associated necessary documentation to affect
said assignments.

I am attaching a copy of a Tax Lien Sale Certificate of Purchase which had been issued in error to Thomas A Leeper. The
property affected by the transaction had previously been assigned to Carlson Farms Homeowners Association. Mr.
Leeper has been notified and his money has been refunded, so the error has been completely corrected.
