Gentlemen: Enclosed is a copy of the application and annexation maps for the proposed annexation of the I-25/Highway 66 Enclave Annexation to the Town of Mead. The properties to be annexed are located in Weld County on approximately 52 acres at the Southeast corner of the 1-25 and Highway 66 interchange. The properties are entirely surrounded by the Town of Mead. The annexation is proposed as an enclave annexation by the Town, as governed by C.R.S. 31-12-106. The property is designated for"General Commercial"uses by the Town of Mead Comprehensive Plan, March 2009. The proposed zoning of the property is compatible with the uses so designated. The purpose of this referral is to obtain the comments and recommendations of various governmental agencies and service providers as to the appropriateness of the annexation. As part of this petition, your petitioner further states to the Board of Trustees of Mead, Colorado, that: 1. It is desirable and necessary that the territory described Exhibit A, be annexed to the Town of Mead. 2. The requirements of C.R.S. Sections 31-12-106, as amended, exist or have been met in that: a. Gentlemen: Please be advised that a public meeting before the Mead Planning Commission has been set to review and consider the annexation of I-25/Highway 66 Enclave Annexation. This annexation has been initiated by the Town of Mead as the annexation of an enclave, property totally within the boundaries of the Town, as allowed by C.R.S. 31-12-106. The properties within the proposed annexation are owned by the Longs Peak Equipment Properties, LLC; Colorado Department of Transportation; Ashworth at 60'h, LLC; Lyons 66 Pacific, LLC; the Robert Rademacher and Janice Rademacher Living Trust; and Robert R and Janice Rademacher.
