SUBJECT: Tandem Axle Truck w/Distributor Tank, B1100014
COLORADO
The Public Works Department recommends rejecting the lowest bid from Klein Products of Kansas,
Inc. as their bid does not meet specs. We recommend awarding the bid to the second low bidder,
Transwest Trucks, for one Freightliner Tandem Axle Truck with Faris Machinery Equipment and
Etnyre Distributor at a cost of $149,651.00. There is an additional cost of$900.00 for a two-burner
heating system for a grand total of$150,551.00.
There is $170,000 budgeted for this purchase. If you have any questions, please call me at
