Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 '-`-REY--"City-of?-hvtnto'?cupciatesto'WeltCdunty Comrrrissiorrers' Dear Vicky: For the past few years, the City of Thornton (Thornton) has participated in meetings with the Weld County Commissioners (Commissioners) regarding activities on Thornton's properties in Weld County. In 2009, Thornton provided a written summary of these efforts to the Commissioners. We appreciate the opportunity to enhance the communication between the two entities, and we believe that both the written report and meetings with the Commissioners-serve that .purpose. Thornton would like to. continue this, communication, and to that end, proposes the following for, providing updates to the Commissioners: Written Report: Thornton will provide a written report to the Commissioners in December of each year that will discuss the status Thomton's revegetation program. The report will include the activities that were performed on the farms in the program, the status of the revegetation effort, photographs, maps, and a discussion of any unusual issues or - - circumstances1hat-occurred-regarding the.revegetation.effort. ihe.,report will identify... . - the anticipated efforts for the upcoming year: In addition, the report will contain a discussion of other items of note that pertain to Thomton's properties or activities in Weld County. Meeting: Thornton representatives will be available to meet with the Commissioners during the month of March to address questions from the report, or other issues of interest. Thornton would work with the Commissioners in February/March to establish the agenda for the items that will be covered at this meeting. We believe the format of a winter report and spring meeting works well based on the timing of our Farm Management activities. If there are other times or formats that would work better, we welcome your input as to the most productive way to continue communication between Thornton and the Commissioners. Please let me know if this approach is agreeable to the Commissioners. Thank you.
