Based on Weld County records and information made to me, it appears no change of use permit is
required as previously stated in the 3/31/09 building referral.

Keith,
The existing low point on your property will be sufficient for Water Quality purposes. Please label the area on your plat
as a "Water Quality Area".
Please let me know if you have any further questions about Public Works' comments for your site.
Thank you,

Thanks for taking my call today. As we discussed on the phone this is simply a pole barn used for storage of excess
building materials (metal doors and frames) and there is no people or work done on the property in the name of the
business. The "low area" on the prints is simply an existing low area that I cleaned out so it would drain better and not
hold water. This can be verified by looking at the aerial pictures on google or weld counties files. As you know we got
drenched with rain last week and a visual inspection by your department could verify that this low area has zero water in
it and that it all drains as it did before just without the mud puddle effect! I do not have any calculation for this pond and
did not intend on changing the existing draining profile of the property.
My USR permit cannot be processed until I get something in writing from your department stating that the above is
understood and is acceptable.

Frank
I was wondering if you could help me sort through a couple of question's I have concerning your letter dated 3.21.09.
• Your letter indicated that there was a final on the building permit on my shed. I had a few inspections
but was never given a final on my building permit. When I inquired about it, I was told that this permit
was being held up until the use-violation was resolved. Can you tell me if this initial building permit was
ever finalized and if I can get a copy of it.
• During the time of my permit application I was asked what was going to be stored in the building and I
told them the same items that are being requested today. They stated that I could not apply for an ag
exempt and I agreed. I made sure that they did not file an ag exemption permit as it would limit what I
could store in the building. The only other permit available on the website is a commercial permit. If this
is not what I received what was it?You letter states "a change of use", but I have defined my use since I
filed for the original permit on this building. What kind of permit do I have now and what permit am I
going to??
• In going to an S-2 classification do you know of any changes to the work you have already inspected and
approved for my currant permit? The building is finished and I will not be able to add any major systems
or features. It is simply a pole barn for storage of non-hazardous construction material. For example if
you know that a fire sprinkler system will be required we can all save a lot of time because that will not
be possible and I will need to focus on exterior storage of all materials and pull all references of the pole
barn from the USR permit process.
Thank you for your help and review of my questions.

Keith Thoene
