When was the first public hearing? I'm surprised the City has not been notified until today. I spoke to Bill Efting, the City Administrator, and we agreed that based on Weld County's numbers the traffic study submitted by Mr. Lo dated August 26, 2010, should be updated to reflect Weld County's base traffic counts. Using these new counts, and if the outcome of the traffic study changes, the City will determine if any improvements to WCR 13 are warranted. With respect to access to the site from WCR 13, the access width and improvements will need to meet the City's Standards and Specifications for the Design and Construction of Public Improvements. I was under the impression that the City would receive detailed engineering drawings at some point for further review (assuming the land use was approved) as well as have full control over the level of improvements to the access. The 30' may be sufficient provided the use remains temporary and no permanent structures are built. The blue line is WCR 6. The blue area is Dacono and the red dot on WCR 13 at the border of Dacono and the County is where the traffic count was taken. Here is the traffic information associated with it: Date 7/15/2010 AADT 1509 We have a count just south of WCR 6 from 2/20/2009 showing and AADT of 1,906 vehicles. I've also attached the most current site plan for the Lo site. The site plan has not changed too much from what you should have received in your original referral but it does have the access road meeting WCR 13 perpendicularly. Our hearing before the Board of County Commissioners is on Wednesday. I'm sorry for the short notice but please let us know if you require any additional information or need to revise your referral comments in any way. I'll follow up with fiktomorrow and we can set up a conference call with our traffic engineer if you would like.
