RE: CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN WATER DIVERSION BOXES ON THE DAVIS
RANCH.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, are vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado owns certain property located
in Sections 1, 2 , 11 and 12 in Township 5 North, Range 65 West
of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado, commonly known as the
"Davis Ranch" and comprising of 800 acres more or less , and
WHEREAS , Harold W. Law is the current lessee of said real
estate, and desires to make certain capital improvements on said
real estate involving the construction of three (3) concrete
water boxes for the purpose of diversion of irrigation water on
said real estate, and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned Harold W. Law has said real estate
under lease for the calendar year 1977 , but said lease is subject
to termination by sixty (60) days written notice prior to the
expiration of the current term of said lease, and the aforementioned
Harold W. Law desires to be assured of reimbursement for his
expense of constructing the aforementioned three concrete water
diversion boxes in the event that the aforesaid Harold W. Law does
not obtain the lease for said real estate for the calendar year
1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Harold W. Law be and
hereby is given permission to construct three concrete water
boxes on the aforementioned real estate at a cost of approximately
$1, 200. 00, and the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado further agree that in the event that the said Harold W.
Law does not obtain the lease on said real estate for the calendar
year 1978 , due to the failure of Weld County to renew said lease,
then, in that event, the County of Weld agrees to reimburse the
said Harold W. Law for his cash outlay in the construction of
said concrete water diversion boxes, but, in the event that the
aforesaid Harold W. Law does in fact obtain the lease on said

property for the calendar year 1978 , then, in that event, no
reimbursement shall be made to Harold W. Law for the construction
of said boxes , and said boxes shall become the property of Weld
County, Colorado.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of
March, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 4th day of April, A.D. , 1977.
