RE : APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF THE FEDERAL AID URBAN
SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF GREELEY.
WHEREAS , pursuant to law, the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsi-
bility of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado,
and
WHEREAS, Section 148 of the Federal Aid Highway Act
of 1973 requires a realignment of the Federal Aid Systems after
June 30, 1976, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aid Highway Program Manual,
Volume 4, Chapter 6, Section 7 , (FHPM 4-6-7) sets forth policies
and procedures for designation of the Federal Aid Systems after
June 30, 1976, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Division of Highways, in cooper-
ation with the City Staff, has previously approved the Urban
limits and functionally classified the City' s street system as
depicted on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that it hereby approves
the designation of all streets within the Urban Boundary function-
ally classified as a collector of higher (excepting those streets
which are designated as part of the Federal Aid Primary System) ,
all as shown on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof
by reference, as the Federal Aid Urban Systems for the City of
Greeley, Colorado.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this 3rd day
of May , A. D. , 1976.

Dear Sirs:
The Federal Aid Urban Systems Map for the City of
Greeley has been up-dated in accordance with the
requirements of the 1973 Highway Act. The enclosed map
shows the proposed Urban Systems network which is based
upon the recently completed functional classification
and re-alignment of transportation systems.
Because a portion of this network is outside the in-
corporated limits of Greeley , the County is asked to
approve the proposed system by resolution. The enclosed
sample resolution may be used as a guide and can be modi-
fied as you wish.
Upon the approval of the City, the County and the
Federal Highway Administration, this system will become
effective on July 1, 1976, and will be eligible for Feder-
al funding.

RESOLUTION APPROVING FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEMS MAP

Map; and
WHEREAS, Section 148 of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1973 requires
a realignment of all Federal Aid Highway Systems after June 30,
1976; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Division of Highways, in cooperation with the City
Staff, has functionally classified the City' s street system, as
depicted on the attached map;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners , a
County, hereby approves the designation of all
• streets functionally classified as a collector or higher, except-
ing those streets which are designated as Federal Aid Primary
Extensions within the Urban Boundary, as shown on the attached
map, as the Federal Aid Urban System for the City of hiegeo/
