WHEREAS, pursuant to C.R.S. 30-11-501, 1973 , as
amended, a County in the State of Colorado may locally ini-
tiate and adopt a County Charter for the establishment, organ-
ization and structure of its County government, and
WHEREAS, on July 2 , 1975, a proposed County Home
Rule Charter was submitted to the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, by the Weld County Charter Commission;
and C.R. S. 30-11-505, 1973, as amended, requires that an
election be held for the adoption or rejection of the proposed
Charter by a referendum of the registered qualified electors
of the County, and
WHEREAS, on September 9 , 1975, said election was
held and a majority of those voting on the question favored
adoption of the proposed Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of
County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that pursuant
to C. R.S. 30-11-505 (4) , 1973 , as amended, the Charter Commission
be, and it hereby is dissolved; and all property, records, files
and proceedings of the Charter Commission shall become the
property of the County forthwith.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this
17th day of September, 1975.
