RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -ANDREA NOEL STEWART
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Agreement for
Professional Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and
Andrea Noel Stewart, commencing September 1,2010, and ending December 31, 2010,with further
terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Agreement for Professional Services between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Andrea Noel Stewart be, and hereby
is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 1st day of September, A.D., 2010.

Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to Agreement for Professional Services between the
Department and Andrea Noel Stewart. This amended Agreement was presented at the Board's May 10,
2010, and August 30, 2010.Work Sessions.
The major provisions for this Agreement are as follows:

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES AND
ANDREA NOEL STEWART
This Amendment,made and entered into the day of August 2010,by and between the Board of
County Commissioners,on behalf of the Weld County Department of Human Services,hereinafter referred to as
"Department,"and Andrea Noel Stewart,hereinafter referred to as the"Contractor."
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS,the parties desire to modify their current Agreement for parent education and investigations
services(Contract No.09-10-CPS-87)in order to increase the maximum expenditure allowable under the contract;and
WHEREAS,Human Services has budgeted,appropriated,and otherwise made available,and
WHEREAS,required approval,clearance,and coordination have been accomplished from and with
appropriate agencies.
NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of the premises,the parties hereto covenant and agree as follows:
1. Exhibit B,Payment Schedule,Item 1,is hereby revised to reflect the following:
Human Services agrees to reimburse CONTRACTOR in consideration for the work and services
performed under Child Welfare Regular Administration funding,not to exceed$50,000.00.
2. Exhibit B,Payment Schedule, Item 2,is hereby revised to reflect the following:
The CONTRACTOR is approved for 40 hours per week at$23.39 per hour,$935.60 per week,
approximately$19,000.00 for the remainder of this contract(for the period of September 1,2010,
through December 31,2010).
These Amendments,together with the original Agreement for Professional Services,constitutes the entire
understanding among the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof,and may not be changed or modified
except as stated in the Agreement for Professional Services.
