The publication of this Notice on June 30, 2010 begins a public notice period
during which written comments and alternate exchange proposals may be submitted to
the Board. To be considered, alternate proposals and comments must be received by
12:00 p.m. on July 30, 2010, by State Board of Land Commissioners 1127 Sherman
Street, Suite 300, Denver, CO 80203.
Comments on the proposed exchange must be clearly marked "Comments on the
Mead Exchange". Comments may be mailed or faxed to 303-866-3377.
Alternate exchange proposals must be submitted on the Board's Application for
Acquisition of State Trust Land with a $100 non-refundable fee, clearly marked
"Alternate Proposal for the Mead Exchange". Alternate proposals received via facsimile
or electronic mail will not be considered.
The Board will decide whether to proceed with a particular proposal or reject the
exchange at a Board Meeting, open to the public, tentatively scheduled to be held August
6, 2010.
The successful applicant will be required to cooperate with the Board in
complying with the mandates of CRS § 36-1-118(4)(a) and (b) and § 36-1-119.
