HomeMy WebLinkAbout20102949.tiff HEARING CERTIFICATION DOCKET NO. 2010-56 RE: ANNUAL MEETING AND 2011 BUDGET HEARING - WELD COUNTY PIONEER COMMUNITY LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY A public hearing was conducted on December 15, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present: Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Chair Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner William F. Garcia Commissioner David E. Long Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker Director of Budget and Management Analysis, Donald D. Warden The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 12, 2010, and duly published November 17, 2010, in the Fort Lupton Press, the Annual Meeting of the Weld County Pioneer Community Law Enforcement District Authority Board was conducted, and a public hearing was conducted to consider the proposed 2011 Budget for the Weld County Pioneer Community Law Enforcement District Authority. Donald Warden, Director of Budget and Management Analysis, stated the only order of business for the Annual Meeting is to approve the minutes from last year's meeting. Commissioner Conway move to approve the minutes from the 2009 Annual Meeting. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Warden stated at the time of creation the District voters approved a mill levy of 7.0 mills. However, since the development has not materialized at this time the assessed valuation will only raise $1,144.00 for patrol services in the area. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter. Commissioner Long moved to approve the Resolution to Adopt Budget, in the amount of$1,144.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Conway, and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Long moved to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Garcia, and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the Resolution to Set the Mill Levy at 7.0 mills. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Conway and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Conway moved to approve the Law Enforcement Agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Long, and it carried unanimously.
