WELD COUNTY COUNCIL �'�
November 15, 1979
The Weld County Council met in special session in full conformity
with the Weld County Home Rule Charter at 915 10th Street, Greeley,
Colorado, November 15, 1979 at the hour of 10:00 A.M.
ROLL CALL: The following members were present:
Robert Martin, President
Ralph Waldo, Vice President
Gary Kampel, Councilmember
Cedric Hallock, Councilmember
Floyd Oliver, Councilmember
Also present: Commissioners Carlson, Dunbar, Kirby, Roe, and
Steinmark; Captain Dill; Augustine personnel Dennis Dawson and
Bill Leukow; 3 members of the press; and the secretary, Beverly
Thomas.
MEETING MINUTES: Floyd Oliver made a motion that the November 1, 1979
meeting minutes be approved. Cedric Hallock seconded the motion
and it carried unanimously.
CORRESPONDENCE: Mr. Martin read a letter from Mr. Hansen regarding
mileage payments for County personnel. He mentioned receipt of the
County Commissioners' resolutions concerning the acquisition of
insurance for the county.
SALARIES FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Councilmembers and County Commissioners
discussed the procedure and criteria for setting the County
Commissioners' salaries for 1983 and 1984.
AUGUSTINE PRESENTATION: Captain Dill of the Sheriff's Department and
Augustine personnel Dennis Dawson and Bill Lewkow explained the
Augustine systems that have been installed in the Sheriff's
Department. Captain Dill stated that the Department was pleased with
the systems both in terms of financial savings and in staff control
and planning.
MEETING-TIME RESOLUTION: The meeting was recessed at 12:03 P.M. and
reconvened at 1:35 P.M. Cedric Hallock made a motion to rescind the
July 5, 1979 meeting-time resolution. Gary Kampel seconded the
motion and it carried unanimously. Ralph Waldo made a motion,
seconded by Cedric Hallock, that the newly-drafted, meeting-time
resolution be adopted. The motion carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF PURCHASE ORDER: Floyd Oliver made a motion, seconded by
Ralph Waldo, to pay voucher 5222. The motion carried unanimously.
Following discussion regarding reports to the people, the 1980 County
Budget, and Weld County insurance coverage, the meeting was
adjourned at 2:30 P.M.
