It was sold during this tax review period for$180,000. We are familiar with this home as we also looked at it when shopping for our home. It is a similar floor plan built with the same poor quality track home materials as ours-i.e. bottom of the line floors, lighting fixtures,carpets,windows etc. The asking price for this home was approximately$20,000 less than our home. We have done nothing to increase that difference to$70,000. Property METRO MLS#637973 is our neighbor,was built by our builder and has many similarities to our home. It sold in the tax review period for$178,650, in the same price range as the other property sold by our builder. The only other two properties sold in that time frame in our neighborhood are also consistent In the price range that is more appropriate for our subdivision. We are not in Water Valley. These are not costume built homes with fancy upgrades(at least ours is not). We never could have sold our home in that time period for anywhere near$250,000. Based on the homes that sold during that time,and using the original price difference of the home that is most like ours,we estimate the value of our home at that time to be approximately$205,000. We are very interested to see what comparables were used by Weld County to come up with the appraisal value. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have,or love you to come and actually look at our house in person to better see that this is not a fancy expensive home.
