The Weld County Council met in special session in full.
conformity with the Weld County Home Rule Charter at
915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, January 19, 1979 at
the hour of 9 A.M.
ROLL CALL: The following members were present:
Robert Martin, President
Ralph Waldo, Vice President
Floyd Oliver, Councilmember
Also present: Neil Best of KUNG and the secretary, Beverly Thomas.
APPOINTMENT OF DISTRICT I COUNCILMEMBER: Mr. Martin explained that this
meeting had been called to take a revote for District I Council-
member. On January 16, 1979 Mr. Hallock had been declared the new
Councilmember after receiving two votes, the highest number of votes
received by any nominee. However, according to the Home Rule Charter,
Article XIII , Section -5 (2) any action of the Council requires con-
currence of three members of the Council in office at the time.
Floyd Oliver made a motion, seconded by Ralph Waldo, that the
Council vote again on the motion to appoint Mr. Hallock as a
member of the Council .from District I. The motion was carried
unanimously with a roll call vote.
Floyd Oliver made a motion that the Council appoint Mr. Hallock as
a member of the Council. The motion was seconded by Ralph Waldo and
carried unanimously in a roll call, vote.
Floyd Oliver made a motion that the Council adjourn. Hearing no
objections the President declared the meeting adjourned.
