RE: APPROVAL OF REPLACEMENT OF THREE SOS BRIDGES WITH FEDERAL FUNDS
ALONG WITH AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF COUNTY FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $95, 000. 00 (IN 1979) .
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County has been participating in a federally
funded program for bridge replacements , and
WHEREAS, the SOS bridges in Weld County which are being
replaced under said federally funded program are Weld County
Bridge 54/13A, Weld County Bridge 17/50A and Weld County Bridge
27/62B, and
WHEREAS, the cost of replacment of said SOS bridges will
exceed the amount budgeted by Weld County for this bridge pro-
ject, and
WHEREAS, Weld County desires to utilize the total amount of
federal funds for said replacement of bridges and to appropriate
an additional $95, 000. 00, in 1979, in County funds in order to
replace Weld County Bridges 17/50A and 54/13A in 1979 and budget
funds to replace Weld County Bridge 27/62B in 1980.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the replacement of three
SOS bridges, more specifically Weld County Bridge 50/13A, Weld
County Bridge 17/50A and Weld County Bridge 27/62B, with federal
funds be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of
Finance prepare a supplemental appropriation ordinance for an
additional appropriation of County funds in 1979 in the amount of
$95, 000. 00 for the replacement of Weld County Bridges 17/50A and
54/13A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that funds for Weld
County Bridge 27/62B be included in the 1980 Road and Bridge
Fund budget preparation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Resolution of
March 21 , 1979 concerning said SOS Bridges be, and hereby is,
rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of
March, A.D. , 1979.
