MICHAEL'S TOWN SQUARE ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 18th day of January, 2010, at which meeting there were present the following members: Chair Douglas Rademacher, and Commissioners Sean P. Conway, William F. Garcia, Barbara Kirkmeyer, David E. Long, and WHEREAS, notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present has been given to the taxpayer and the Assessor of said County,with said Assessor, Christopher Woodruff, being present, and taxpayer St. Michael's Town Square Association, not being present, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have carefully considered the attached petition, and are fully advised in relation thereto. ST MICHAELS TOWN SQUARE ASSOCIATION ABATEMENT The subject parcel was platted as common area land for the St Michaels subdivision. Ownership was held in the developers from 2002 until 2007 making it taxable. In 2007 the developer deeded this parcel to the St Michaels Town Square Association. In 2008 the Assessor's office should have zero valued the parcel and converted it to "999" parcel.This was not done and now the 2008 taxes are delinquent. County Treasurer has asked our office to make this assessment go away so they do not need to collect from the Association.
