Subject: Tempero addition to public record.
Hi Michelle,
As you offered during our phone conversation, please add this to the
public record regarding AmPF-1045.
Despite learning that there are no current or obvious restrictions on
the construction of a habitable structure directly south of Highland
Farms lot 5, and contrary to the previously submitted, hastily
composed handwritten letter, it is now my opinion that my
understanding of such restrictions was due entirely to nothing more
than a major communications breakdown between Mr. Balmes and myself.
I am still in support of the creation of the Estate Lot, though I
would like to voice my preference, for what it's worth, that no
habitable structure be allowed directly south of any part of Highland
Farms Lot 5, out of interest in providing a buffer between the
Highland Farms subdivision and the Highview development to the south,
and in the interest of view preservation which forms a significant
part of the value of currently existing homes.
Kindest Regards,
William M Tempero

Subject: retraction statement
Hi Michelle,
Would you please also add this to the public records for AmPF-1045.
This is a public apology to Mr. Balmes and a retraction of the entire
hand-written note which was presented to the board yesterday, Aug
26th, 2010. You (Michelle) told me to write what I wanted to say to
the board, since I would be unable to attend the meeting due to
obligations to my employer. Since I was not present in the meeting and
have never attended such meetings, it was not at all understood by me
that this note was about to become public knowledge. Thinking back I
believe you said something about public record but I did not put it
all together at that time. The note contains my personal thoughts at
that particular moment and those thoughts may be inappropriate for
public consumption as they could be construed as damaging to Mr
Balmes' good name. In hindsight, I now realize they were probably
inappropriate for the board as well.
I would like for any readers of this email to consider it to be a
striking of the hand-written note from the record. I have requested
that to be done physically but was told that request could not be
honored.
Further I would like to correct any mis-understandings that any
readers of the inappropriate hand-written note might have about Mr.
Balmes.
Mr. Balmes designs and constructs custom homes. His work is done with
the highest integrity and pride. I proudly own and live in one of the
homes he designed and constructed. The workmanship is of exceptional
quality. Mr. Balmes has always been on my doorstep immediately any
time he has been contacted about a problem with the home. I believe
Mr. Balmes set a very fair price for such an exceptional home. My wife
and I did not haggle and happily paid the asking price, a price we are
still happy with two-and-a-half years later. Mr. Balmes has always
come across as a very honest individual. He provides for a wife and
two children and regularly attends church. If I were in need of a home
builder I would not even consider approaching someone else if Mr.
Balmes were available and willing to work with me.
The inappropriate hand-written note arose from a dealing not related
to home construction. Unfortunately I feel that Mr. Balmes and I do
not communicate well at all in these instances and I become frustrated
and upset thinking he promised something and did not follow through. I
realize now that this is all nothing more than communication problems
and I am ashamed that I have ever questioned the honesty of an
individual of such high integrity as Mr. Balmes.
I pray this email is sufficient to set the record straight and that no
1
harm has come in any way to Mr. Balmes. There was certainly none
deserved and certainly none intended.
(Michelle) - Why is it impossible to remove the hand-written note from
the public record? It was never intended to be there, it does not
belong there and in fact does not belong anywhere. Is there someone I
could speak with who might be able to make that happen?
Kindest Regards,
William M Tempero
