Long Date of signature: V2il S C 3 Q ti.) 2010-1666 ejj EG0063 MEMORANDUM TO: Clerk to the Board DATE: July 15, 2010 FROM: Janet Carter, Public Works COLORADO SUBJECT: Installation of Stop Signs at CR 89 & 122 Public Works requests approval to install traffic regulatory signs (Stop sign R1-1) at the intersection of CR 89 and 122. North and South bound traffic would be stopped on WCR 89 as the roadway intersects WCR 122. The most current traffic count for CR 89 was taken in June 2009 with an ADT of 157. The most current traffic count for CR 122 was taken in June 2009 with an ADT of 170. The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) section 26.05 suggests that stop signs should be placed at Intersection of a less important road with a main road when application of the normal right-of-way rule would not be expected to provide reasonable compliance with the law. Based on the MUTCD Public Works recommends that traffic be stopped in the North and south bound directions.
