Dear Commissioner Billings:
Your application for suspension of the jail moratorium to allow construction
of the proposed Weld County Jail has received a favorable recommendation from
the Jail Advisory Committee. This recommendation has been forwarded to Paul
Quinn, director of the Division of Criminal Justice for final action, You
should receive formal notice from the Division within ten days.
The final review stage discussed and agreed to at our August 20, 1976 meeting
include forwarding final copies of the architectural plans to Mr. William Taylor
of the Colorado Health Department and Mr. Randall Klauzer of the Colorado Com-
mission on Criminal Justice Standards.
Again, I wish to compliment you on your presentation and the great deal of work
Weld County has undertaken to involve so many aspects of the community in plan-
ning your new facility.
