QUESSTIONAIRE
1. Devoe Contracting proposes to use the property at 26015 WCR 46 to operate a small
commercial business servicing oil and natural gas companies.The proposed use for the property
is for the storage of work vehicles,trailers, equipment and supplies. There are up to 12 vehicles
that will be entering and exiting the property daily.
2.Weld County Chapter 22 of the Comprehensive Plan,Sec 22-2-10. Devoe Contracting assists in the
important extraction of natural resources by hauling water and gravel to drilling and well service
companies in Weld County.We take all steps necessary in insuring that the property at 26015 WCR 46 is
free of derelict vehicles, refuse and other unsightly materials as well as conserving the natural site
features.
3. The proposed use is consistent with Chapter 23 "The following buildings, structures and uses may be
constructed,occupied,and maintained in the A zone District upon approval of a Use by Special Review
Permit in accordance with the requirements and procedures set forth in Article II, Division 4 of the Weld
County Code". A-2, Oil and gas support and service.
• 4.This property sits across CR 53 from the Conquest deep well injection disposal site which generates a
moderate amount of oilfield traffic. In addition, county roads 53 and 46 are used daily by oil and gas
companies and companies that service the natural resource industry.

a. Shaun Devoe and his family(4)currently reside at the house on the property in question.They live
at and access the property daily. In addition to residential use,there are 12 employees of Devoe
Contracting that may access the site daily. Devoe Contracting operates at a steady pace throughout the
year.
b. Devoe Contracting currently employees 12 people,this includes office personnel,truck drivers,
owner and mechanic.Truck drivers, roustabout crew and support staff are at the Kersey shop location to
pick up and drop off trucks and equipment, punch time cards and pick up uniforms and for minor
maintenance issues.
c. Devoe Contractings hours of operation are generally 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday with some
Saturdays necessary to meet the demands of the oil companies. Hours of operation depend entirely on
the needs and requests of Devoe Contracting customers.
d. There is nothing to be erected on this site. We will be utilizing existing structures.
• e.The only animals present are domesticated house pets.
• f. Devoe Contracting owns and operates tractor trailers (Kenworth,Volvo and Peterbuilt),the heaviest
combination of tractor trailer weighing 85,000 lbs.There are also pieces of heavy equipment that are
stored at and access the property, a skidsteer, 3 dozers, skidloader, backhoe,trackhoe and grader.There
are also V.ton and 1 ton pickups.
g.The Platte Valley Fire district provides fire protection at the site in question.
h. Water for the property is provided by Central Weld Water District. No irrigation water.
I .The property is equipped with one 1000 gallon septic tank that was installed in 1999 (Permit#SP-
9900564) and last serviced 10/2010.
j.The only items stored at the location are vehicles and maintenance supplies (tires,tools and hoses).
6. At this time there are no proposed plans for additional landscaping.
7. At this time we will not be altering any aspects of the property.
8. Storm water,due to the slant of the property, runs South and off the property. Ditches run along the
East,West and South and North perimeters of the property.
9.There is no construction or landscaping proposed at this time.
• 10.The sole waste generated by Devoe Contracting is motor oil,which is hauled to and disposed of by
Luther Equipment in Greeley, CO.

No wastes are expected to be generated on site. No chemicals will be stored on site.
No vehicles or equipment will be washed on site.
Regarding a motor vehicle oil leak, Devoe Contracting LLC standard operating procedures are to dig
up the contaminated soil and ship it to the WM Buffalo Ridge Landfill and backfill the area.
Refuse is stored in a 2 yard container and hauled out 2 times per month to the Waste Management
landfill by Northern Colorado Disposal.

1. Find i (areas don't need to be exact just estimate) -this is the imperviousness of your site which tells us how much
water soaks into the ground and how much runs off

3. Find required storage from highlighted #3 equation on page SQ-24 using your WQCV from step 2 and the Total Site Area
4. Show the area for the water quality depression on your site plan downstream of any parking, building or operations areas
and label it as "Water Quality Feature, No Build Area". The depression should be 1'-2'deep and have enough volume for
the required storage amount you calculated above. An exiting sump or depression can also be used if it meets the
volume.
