RE: APPROVE REQUEST FOR AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OF LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE
AGREEMENT -TOWN OF HUDSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a Request to Automatically Renew the Law
Enforcement Service Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriff's Office,
and the Town of Hudson, commencing January 1, 2012, and ending December 31, 2012, with
further terms and conditions being as stated in said letter of request, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve the request to
automatically renew said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Request to Automatically Renew the Law Enforcement Service
Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Sheriff's Office, and the Town of
Hudson be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 23rd day of November, A.D., 2011.

RE: Law Enforcement Service Agreement continuation for the Town of Hudson
Commissioners:
The 2011 Law Enforcement Service Agreement with the Town of Hudson can be renewed
automatically on a year by year basis unless sooner terminated by either party.
For 2012 the Town of Hudson has indicated their desire to continue with the current agreement
and has allocated $ 132,600.00 as the maximum amount to be billed for direct and indirect services.
The Sheriffs Office recommends continuing with this agreement. The charge for services is based
on the previously approved cost recovery hourly rate of$51.00 per hour.

TITLE: A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH WELD COUNTY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees finds that it is in the public interest for the
Town of Hudson to continue to receive law enforcement services from the Weld County
Sheriff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE TOWN OF HUDSON, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1, The Law Enforcement Service Agreement with Weld County
for the period beginning January 1, 2012, and ending December 31, 2012, in the
maximum amount of$132,600.00 is hereby approved.

2. Until further notice is received, Towns Agreement Monitor shall be:

1. The hourly rate comprising the contract amount of this fiscal agreement during the initial
term of the Agreement, and until further notice as set forth in the Agreement, shall be
S51.00 per hour per Deputy, for both direct and indirect services performed.
2. The maximum amount to be billed to the Town by the Sheriff for direct and indirect
services shall be $ /32,GOa p° for the fiscal year 2012. If the maximum amount is
billed prior to the expiration of the term of this Agreement, unless an amendment to this
Agreement authorizing an additional amount for the payment of the services described
herein is entered into by both parties, the Sheriff shall no longer be obligated to provide
such services. In that case, the Sheriff would then provide only such services to the
Town which the Sheriff would normally otherwise provide in the enforcement of
Colorado statutes.
