It will be the responsibility of the event organizers to contact the appropriate party to do the inspection. 2. Make available a letter from the fire district and adhere to their conditions. 3. Every occupied portion of any occupancy in Group A that contains seats, tables, displays, similar fixtures or equipment shall be provided with aisles leading to exits or exit access doorways in accordance with this section. Aisle accessways for tables and seating shall comply with Section 1014.4.3. 4. The exit paths shall be illuminated at all time and exit signs shall be placed according to the IBC Chapter 10. 5. The gates on the stalls that lead to the restrooms shall swing in the direction of travel or be removed. 6. We would be pleased to respond to any concerns that they may have. The Building Departments main concerns deal with the structures lack of a fire sprinkler system versus the amount of people who are going to attend the event. The estimated occupants are 840 attendees and 30 staff per the table layout and floor plan. The 2006 International Building Code section 903.2.1.2 will only allow 99 people to occupy the building for an assembly that is serving alcohol if there is not a sprinkler system installed. The inspections are required by the IBC section 105.1 to insure that the exit signs are placed properly, so there is clear and easy access to vacate the building in a quick and safe manner in the event of a fire, and reduce/eliminate the electrical hazards.
