'RE: REGULATION OF SPEED ON COUNTY ROAD 66 IN THE VICINITY OF
THE KODAK OF COLORADO PLANT.
WHEREAS, a multitude of complaints have been made to the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that
the current speed limits on County Road Number 66 in the vicinity
of the Kodak of Colorado Plant have created an undue traffic
hazard due to congestion of traffic thereon, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is authorized by
the statutes of the State of Colorado to regulate the speed of
vehicles, and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of Weld County, Colorado,
in conjunction with the Colorado Highway Patrol has made a study
of the traffic problems on County Road Number 66 in the vicinity
of the Kodak of Colorado Plant and have recommended that a speed
limit of 40 miles per hour be instituted immediately in the area
as shown by the attached plats,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that speed limits of 40
miles per hour be immediately instituted in the portion of
County Road Number 66 as shown on the attached plats and directs
the Engineering Department of Weld County to erect the proper
speed limit signs thereon, according to the requirements of the
statutes of the State of Colorado.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on this 18th day of
August, A. D. , 1976 .

subject: Speed Control Signing
Attached are traffic counts and proposed speed control
signing for County Road 66 in the vicinity of The Kodak
of Colorado plant . Walter Steelman, Chief of the Windsor
Police Department has approved the proposal with his
department to sign the Windsor City Limit (north side of
County Road 66) portion of this road. Lt. Bell of the
Colorado Highway Patrol has recommended a minimum speed
limit of 40 miles per hour.
The Department of Engineering recommends approval of this
proposed speed
