AL02- The actual valuation of your property has been adjusted based on new information. This
may be information you have supplied, corrections of characteristics or additional sales which
we have uncovered during the appeals process.
If you disagree with the Assessor's decision,you have the right to appeal to the County
Board of Equalization for further consideration, § 39-8-106(1)(a), C.R.S.
The deadline for filing real property appeals is July 15.
The deadline for filing personal property appeals is July 20.
The Assessor establishes property values. The local taxing authorities (county, school district,
city, fire protection, and other special districts) set mill levies. The mill levy requested by each
taxing authority is based on a projected budget and the property tax revenue required to
adequately fund the services it provides to its taxpayers. The local taxing authorities hold
budget hearings in the fall. If you are concerned about mill levies, we recommend that you
attend these budget hearings. Please refer to last year's tax bill or ask your Assessor for a
listing of the local taxing authorities.

We would like to appeal the attached Notice of Determination. Please note neither the
original Real Property Notice of Valuation nor the more recent Notice of Determination
provided any documentation as to the basis for the Assessor's Valuation. While we
appreciate the Assessor's consideration of this matter, and the reduction of value after
their review of the appeal,we are still $21,000 apart in our respective

funding the Assessor's office and your Board. One cannot go into court without
evidence, and the same should hold true here. There are very few properties we could
find which are"comparable,"but the attached list supports our valuation. As the
Assessor has provided no evidence or documentation whatsoever to support their
position,we ask you to find the value of the property to be in the $135,000 to $140,000
range.
