Statement of Adequacy of Existing Soils
Dear Tom:
As part of the USR Application for A&W Water Service, Lots A&B, RE-4158 site in
Grover, Colorado, CES Consultants, LLC (CES)has reviewed the existing soils
information and performed a site visit to determine the adequacy of the existing soils to
support the proposed Water Loading Dock. The design plan is to place ten(10)future
fresh water tanks on the site. These tanks are 20,000 gallon tanks and are raised off the
ground with integral skids.
• CES reviewed the soils information for the site as produced by the West Greeley
Conservation District. This information showed the soils types at the site as classified by
the US Agricultural Department Weld County Soil Survey. CES also performed a site
visit of the tank site on July 26, 2011. Per these observations, it is our opinion that the
existing soils have adequate strength and bearing capacity of support the proposed ten
(10) fresh water tanks on integral skids as shown.
This letter was prepared for the exclusive use of our client and is not intended for any other
purpose. Our conclusions are based on the information made available to us at this time.
Should additional information become available, we reserve the right to determine the
impact, if any,of the new information on our opinions and conclusions; and to revise our
opinions and conclusions if necessary and warranted by the discovery of additional
information.
