HomeMy WebLinkAbout790951.tiff u 79 RESOLUTION RE: AMENDMENT TO WELD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE CONCERNING 50-25 PLAN. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS , on March 7 , 1979 , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado adopted a resolution concerning the modification of normal working hours to increase productive time in the Road and Bridge Department, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to amend the Weld County Administrative Code to reflect said modification of normal working hours in the Road and Bridge Department by adding the following to the Board Procedures Section -- C. Working Hours : "4) Not withstanding any other provision to the contrary within this Administrative Code , the following provisions in regard to work hours shall apply within the Road and Bridge Department: a) The Divisions of Construction, Bridge, and Paving and Aggregate shall, during the months of May through October, have a normal work day of ten (10) hours per day and a normal work week of fifty (50) hours per week; and the Weld County Engineer may, at his discretion, reduce the number of hours worked per week so as to maximize productive hours. b) All Divisions other than Construction, Bridge, and Paving and Aggregate within the Road and Bridge Department shall have a normal work day of eight (8) hours per day and a normal work week of forty (40) hours per week, except that the Weld County Engineer shall have the discretion to in- crease the hours normally worked per day and normally worked per week so as to increase the operating efficiency of such Division. c) Such hours of employment of the Road and Bridge Department employees may, at the discretion of the Weld County Engineer, begin prior to 8 : 00 o 'clock a.m. and end later than 5 :00 o 'clock p.m. so as to reach a maximum scheduling capability. d) Compensation time. Within the operational requirement of the Road and Bridge Depart- 790951 ment, overtime accumulated during the months of November through April , during which time the employees of the Road and Bridge Department shall work only twenty- five (25) hours per week until such time as all overtime accumulated during the summer months has expired. e) Employees in the Construction, Bridge and Paving and Aggregate Divisions shall , during the week that contains the holiday July 4 , not work during the such week but accumulated overtime shall be used in its place. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis- sioners of Weld County, Colorado that the amendments to the Weld County Administrative Code as hereinabove stated be, and hereby are, adopted. The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of April, A.D. , 1979 . B. 4) g) i . Three Maintenance Districts , each with a District Supervisor responsible to the Maintenance Division Supervisor. ii . Road Maintenance Methods. Motor grader operators will be trained in at least two methods of grading. The Engineering Department will set standards for maintenance. After the operator has been trained, he may be allowed to determine which method is to be used. C. Working Hours. 1 ) County Road and Bridge crews will come to work on their own time and be on the job site by 8:00 A.M. ; they will leave on County time. 2) Motor Grader Operators. The eight hours per day worked by the motor grader operators may be other than the regular 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. shift. Said hours worked will be under the direct supervision of the district overseer. The overseer must guarantee the eight hours per day worked by each employee to the Board of County Commissioners. 3) Compensation Time. Comp time will be one hour worked to equal one hour comp time. D. Monthly Meetings Scheduled. Each District Shop will meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:00 P.M. The County Engineer and the Supervisors will meet with the Commissioners on the second Wednesday of the month at 8:00 A.M. E. Commissioners in Field. Four out of five County Commissioners each month will be responsible for spending one day in the field. The responsibility will rotate among the Five County Commissioners so that the individual Commissioners will not have the responsibility each fifth month. Hello
