RE: ITEMIZED LIST OF LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2012
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2012 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day (2012) Falls on Sunday, so day off is
Monday, January 2, 2012
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 20, 2012
Memorial Day Monday, May 28, 2012
Independence Day Wednesday, July 4, 2012
Labor Day Monday, September 3, 2012
Veterans Day Falls on Sunday, so day off is
Monday, November 12, 2012
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 22, 2012
Friday, November 23, 2012
(replaces King's Birthday)
Christmas Monday, December 24, 2012
(replaces Columbus Day)

FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of
Colorado.
District Attorney -- Friday, November 23, 2012 (replaces King's Birthday); and
Monday, December 24, 2012 (replaces Columbus Day)
Monday, December 31, 2012 (replaces Colorado Day)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the
calendar year of 2012 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 19th day of September, A.D., 2011.
