RE: APPROVE REASSIGNMENT, APPOINTMENT, AND REAPPOINTMENT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Jason Maxey be reassigned from an
At-Large representative to the District 5 representative, to replace Roy Spitzer; that Benjamin
Hansford be appointed as an At-Large representative, to replace Jason Maxey; and that Mark
Lawley be reappointed as an At-Large representative, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reassign Jason Maxey, with a term to
expire July 31, 2012; to appoint Benjamin Hansford, with a term to expire July 31, 2013; and to
reappoint Mark Lawley, with a term to expire July 31, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Jason Maxey be, and hereby is reassigned to the Planning
Commission, with a term to expire July 31, 2012; that Benjamin Hansford be appointed, with a
term to expire July 31, 2013; and that Mark Lawley be reappointed, with a term to expire
July 31, 2014.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of August, A.D., 2011.
