HomeMy WebLinkAbout780673.tiff G RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF THE CONSERVATION TRUST FUND EXPENDITURES TO THE TOWN OF FT. LUPTON, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, following the submission of an application by the Town of Ft. Lupton for assistance in the project known as the Riverside Park in Fort Lupton for construction of fences and backstops, Weld County has extended to the Town of Fort Lupton, a grant from Conservation Trust Funds in the amount of $7 ,840. 00, and WHEREAS, after receiving all bids , the Town of Ft. Lupton has informed the Board of County Commissioners that it has accepted the low bid of $8,406 from Foster Lumber Company, and WHEREAS, the terms agreed upon are as follows: A. Following completion of the project, the Town of Ft. Lupton must report to Weld County its acceptance of the project from its contractors. B. Such report shall include an accounting of actual expenses for the project and a request for reimbursement of a specific dollar amount. C. Upon receipt of this report and request for reimburse- ment, the County shall determine the amount of reimbursement and will make a single payment to the Town of Ft. Lupton. WHEREAS, it has been further agreed that Weld County shall reimburse the Town of Ft.: Lupton during the calendar year 1978. It is therefore understood and agreed that the project should be completed and the request for reimbursement forwarded no later than December 1, 1978 , and WHEREAS, upon consideration of the aforementioned request from the Town of Ft. Lupton, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable and in the best interest of Weld County to approve the same in the amount of $ 8, 406. 00, to Fort Lupton with no contingency amount, 780673 ,.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners that said Board does hereby approve the Conservation Trust Fund expenditures to the Town of Ft. Lupton, Weld County, Colorado, as more fully set forth above. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of March, A.D. , 1978. Lupton for a project to be assisted by Conservation Trust Funds. The project is identified as the Riverside Park in Ft. Lupton, for the construction of fences and backstops. Would you please draft a resolution around the following terms: 1 . The City-of Ft. Lupton has acquired three bids to accomplish the work as follows: American Colorado Fence Company $15,116, Elcar Fence $16,070, Foster Lumber Company $8,406. 2. The City of Ft. Lupton has accepted the bid of $8,406 from Foster Lumber Company to complete the work. 3. Weld County had offered $7,840 to the City of Ft. Lupton for this work, with some flexibility to that commitment depending on the actual bid prices. 4. With all the same terms as on the Platteville resolution, regarding completion and acceptance of the work, etc. , Weld County would ex- tend to the City of Ft. Lupton $8,406, with no contingency amount, to be paid during 1978 and upon completion of the project in Ft. Lupton. Hello
