North and South bound traffic would be stopped on WCR 29 as the roadway intersects WCR 40. The most current traffic count for CR 40 was taken in March 2008 with an AADT of 282. The most current traffic count for CR 29 was taken in November 2008 with an AADT of 162. The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) section 2B.04 suggests that stop signs should be placed at an intersection of a less important road with a main road where application of the normal right-of-way rule would not be expected to provide reasonable compliance with the law. Public Works recommends that traffic be stopped on WCR 29 in the North and south bound directions due to consistency with the other traffic control devices in the area.
