RE: ANNUAL MEETING AND 2012 BUDGET HEARING-BEEBE DRAW LAW ENFORCEMENT
AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on December 14, 2011, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner Sean P. Conway, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED
Commissioner William F. Garcia
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Director of Budget and Management Analysis, Donald D. Warden
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 10, 2011, and duly published
November 16, 2011, in the Fort Lupton Press, the Annual Meeting of the Beebe Draw Law
Enforcement Authority Board was conducted, and a public hearing was conducted to consider the
proposed 2012 Budget for the Weld County Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority(LEA) District.
Donald Warden, Director of Budget and Management Analysis, stated the agreement between the
LEA and the Sheriffs Office is for patrol services; however, due to the poor economy and other
factors, the site has not developed to full buildout. He recommended approval of the budget, in the
amount of$13,070.00, assessed at 7.0 mills.
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Resolution to Adopt Budget, in the amount of
$13,070.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Garcia, and it carried unanimously.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money.
Commissioner Garcia seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Resolution to Set the Mill Levy, at 7.0 mills. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Long, and it carried unanimously.
Commissioner Garcia moved to approve the Law Enforcement Agreement and authorize the Chair
to sign. Commissioner Rademacher seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:31 a.m.
