RE: CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY, MOBILE HOME
AND/OR POSSESSORY INTEREST ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39-10-114(2)(a), C.R.S., the Board of County
Commissioners may cancel any taxes levied on personal property which are determined to be
uncollectible after a period of one year after the date of becoming delinquent, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the office of the Weld County
Treasurer to cancel the taxes on personal property, mobile home and/or possessory interest
accounts, which are listed in the letter from John Lefebvre, dated August 5, 2011, which is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A," for the reasons stated therein, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to cancel the personal property,
mobile home and/or possessory interest taxes listed in Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer's request to cancel the personal
property, mobile home and/or possessory interest taxes listed in Exhibit "A" be, and hereby is,
approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 15th day of August, A.D., 2011.

Dear Commissioners:
This letter is an explanation for the request to cancel the personal property and mobile home
taxes on various accounts. As you will notice there are different years on the accounts. After
exhausting all avenues, the Treasurer's office,was unable to collect the taxes on the attached
accounts.
It is the request of the Weld County Treasurer's Office that the taxes be canceled.
