RE: APPROVAL OF RELOCATION EXPENSES FOR DATA PROCESSING OPERATIONS MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado,
pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is
vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and the Director of Data Processing
have been diligently attempting to recruit qualified individuals for the
position of Operations Manager in the Joint Data Processing Center, and
WHEREAS, recruitment efforts have indicated that there are not adequate
qualified individuals within the immediate area, it has been necessary to
recruit nationwide for the individual with the qualifications to fulfill
the Operations Manager position in the Joint Data Processing Center, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, to pay only the relocation expenses for specific
positions in Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a job offer for the position of Operations Manager in the Joint
Data Processing Center has been offered to a very qualified applicant, condi-
tional upon the Board's approval of paying for the relocation expense of the
individual in conjunction with the Personnel Policies and Procedures of
Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado
deem it advisable and in the best interest of Weld County to approve the
payment of the relocation expenses of Mr. Michael Scott to Greeley, Colorado
in accordance with the Personnel Policies and Procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that the relocation expenses for Mr. Michael Scott
be, and hereby are, approved in accordance with the Personnel Policies and
Procedures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Finance and
the Director of Data Processing are hereby authorized to inform Mr. Scott of
the Board's approval and to make the move a formal part of the job offer to
Mr. Michael Scott.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of July, A.D. , 1979.
