Dear Mr. Jiricek:
This letter is a formal request to place one 64' x 24' (1,536 square feet)manufactured office adjacent to the existing
scale,just east of the existing office at Aurora Organic Dairy's Operations on Weld County Road 72. This facility is
permitted through Weld County Use by Special Review #1602, which was recorded on December 20, 2007 under
the name CBS Dairy. The legal description is Lot A of Amended RE-178 in Section 11, Township 6 North, Range
64 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,Colorado.
The purpose for this manufactured office is for Aurora Organic Dairy to monitor the activity at the scale and for
security purposes. There will not be any new employees or additional traffic beyond what is currently allowed by
USR-1602. The personnel that will be located in the office at the scale will move over from the existing office.
Attached is an exhibit of the recorded USR-1602 Plat Map illustrating the existing conditions and location of the
scale. The manufactured office will most likely be in a north-south configuration, but the exact location has not yet
been determined. The proposed location of the office is just east of and in the general vicinity of the commodity
shed and hay sheds shown on the USR plat map.
The new office is proposed to be connected to an adequate water supply and connected to an approved septic
system. The existing parking as shown on the USR-1602 plat map will remain adequate for the existing employees.
No other improvements are anticipated other than the construction of the new office. We are formally requesting the
Weld County Planning Department staff make a determination that the manufactured office for the scale is not a
substantial change to the overall dairy facility. We look forward to working with the Planning and Building
Inspection staff to submit a building permit as quickly as possible.
