RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE
DONATION OF SAME TO NON-PROFIT AND/OR FAITH BASED ORGANIZATIONS
WITHIN WELD COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of
be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment and furniture previously
used by the Building Healthy Marriages Program, being more fully described in Exhibit A, which
is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use,
and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a request from the Department of
Human Services for the donation of said equipment and furniture to various non-profit and/or
faith-based organizations within Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and
approve said donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment and furniture, as described within
Exhibit A, be, and hereby is, declared surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the donation of such to various non-
profit and/or faith based organizations within Weld County, be, and hereby is, approved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of November, A.D., 2011.

Healthy Marriage Program Asset List
Enclosed for Board approval is the Department's Building Healthy Marriage Program Asset List.
This Asset List was reviewed under the Board's Pass-Around Memorandum dated October 26,
2011, and approved for placement on the Board's Agenda.
All assets from the program were reviewed for use by my Department. Barb Connolly's and Monica
Mika's Departments have reviewed the list and have selected items for use by the County. The
attached Asset List of furniture/office equipment constitutes a surplus.
With the conclusion of the Building Healthy Marriage Grant, the Department, with Board approval,
would like to donate the items to non-profit and/or faith-based organizations within Weld County.
Several organizations have expressed an interest in some of the items as identified on the Asset List.
This furniture/office equipment is currently in storage and the remaining furniture/office equipment
not claimed will remain there.
