The local taxing authorities hold budget hearings in the fall. If you are concerned about mill levies, we recommend that you attend these budget hearings. It is obvious that there is land more than 2.2 times the size of ours (exhibit 1,2) yet we are assessed the same. Exhibit 3 above is 1.4 times the size of ours yet is taxed the same • All exhibits above are from the same tax area and are in Vista Pointe and in our sub-division and are neighboring lots. • All land backs to open space. It is evident that my lot is assessed the same as lots more than double the size. It seems to make sense that my assessment is out of line with others in the exact same sub-division. I would compare this to assessing a 2400 square foot dwelling and a 5500 sq foot dwelling the same (2.2 times larger than the 2400 sq foot house). I don't believe that would happen. I don't see how a 2.233 acre lot, 2.2 times larger than mine, could be assessed the same as my 1.01 acre. Thank you for your attention to this matter and thank you for your consideration.
