RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING ZCV #1100041 AGAINST TODD AND
RHONDA AMEN FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Todd and Rhonda Amen, ZCV #1100041, are allegedly in violation of the
Weld County Code, and
WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has
not been corrected, and
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of August, 2011, a public hearing was held before the Board
of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and
WHEREAS, at the request of Planning staff, the Board deems it advisable to refer the
matter back to the Department of Planning Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that ZCV#1100041 be, and hereby is, referred back to the Department
of Planning Services.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of August, A.D., 2011.

VIOLATION REMEDY:
My records indicate that a Pre-Application meeting was conducted on April 21, 2011. At this meeting the
Planner, Kim Ogle, explained the Use by Special Review(USR) application and process.
In order to cancel the above mentioned Violation Hearing, the USR application shall be assembled and 4
packets be submitted to the Department of Planning Services as soon as possible. Planning Department Staff
will review your packets and respond within 7 working days outlining any missing paperwork or necessary
corrections. The remaining packets and any other requirements as outlined in Staffs follow up 7 Day
Completeness Review memorandum and fees shall be submitted prior to the hearing in order to cancel the
Violation Hearing. If you are unable to meet this timeline, I recommend you or a representative attend the
August 9th Violation Hearing to request additional time from the Board of County Commissioners.

• The pre-application request is the preliminary review of a land use proposal. Pre-application reviews
are required prior to beginning the application process; however, this review is not an application. •
• Pre-application reviews are held with the Weld County Departments of Public Works and the Public
