RE: LIBRARY SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COLORADO STATE
UNIVERSITY AND THE WELD COUNTY LIBRARY.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County
Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Library has presented an agree-
ment between the Weld County Library and Colorado State University
for the use of computerized library services offered through an
on-line network that is the Ohio College Library Center data
system, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado believe it to be in the best interest of Weld County
to join in this Agreement and approve the agreement in accordance
with the terms therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that said Library Services
Agreement with Colorado State University, said agreement being
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, be and
hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board of
County Commissioners , be and hereby is authorized to execute
said agreement and to make the same effective forthwith.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 6th day
of July, A.D. , 1977.

LIBRARY SERVICES AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this sixth day
of July, 1977, between COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY and the WELD
COUNTY LIBRARY:
WHEREAS, libraries of academic institutions adhere to the
proposition of extending services beyond the boundaries of their
own campuses to include the public libraries as well as students,
faculty, and staff of other colleges and universities, and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this principle, Colorado State
University and the Weld County Library wish to establish an
agreement which assures access to bibliographic utilities or
computerized library services offered through an on-line network
that is the Ohio College Library Center data system (OCLC) .
(The program features on-line cataloging and a multi-million
title data base that allows implementation of automated technical
services)
NOW, THEREFORE, the following terms of agreement and pro-
cedure are hereby established between Colorado State University
(CSU) and the Weld County Library effective immediately and un-
til further notice, to-wit:
A. Colorado State University agrees :
1. To search for Weld County Library the OCLC data
base and to supply any/all bibliographic records using
selected search keys (see Exhibit A) ;
2. To search the OCLC data base using up to and in-
cluding three search keys (see Exhibit A) ;
3. To display all records up to and including five
when a single search key yields more than one record;
4. To supply Weld County Library a print-out of all
records located during searches of the OCLC Data Base.
B. Weld County Library agrees :
1. To pay CSU in the amount of fifteen cents (15 )
for each record printed (A record is bibliographic
data possessing a unique OCLC number. All data accom-
paning that number will be displayed) ;
2. To supply CSU the complete data available in order
to use one or more search keys (see Exhibit A) .
Searches can be conducted only on data supplies (no
searches, for example, can be undertaken on ISBN, or
title, or L.C. card number unless ISBN, Title, or L.C.
card number are present.
C. The effective date of this agreement shall be as first
stated above and shall continue until terminated by either
party upon three (3) months prior written notice.
