WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld
County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibilty of admini-
stering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Estate of James Sargent is currently the
owner of the Carpenter Homestead House which is located on the
James Sargent Farm, and the James Sargent Estate is desirous
of giving said House to the City of Greeley Museum for the place-
ment of said House at the Centennial Village, and
WHEREAS, the County has agreed to move said House,
with City cooperation, to Centennial Village and an agreement
has been presented for same, and
WHEREAS, after being fully advised, the Board believes
it to be in the best interests of the County to approve and ex-
ecute said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the hereinabove men-
tioned agreement be, and it hereby is approved; and that the
Chairman of the Board be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
said agreement, signature to be attested by the County Clerk and
Recorder of Weld County.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this 25th
day of February, 1976.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 25th day of
February , 1976, by and among the CITY OF GREELEY, hereinafter
referred to as City, the COUNTY OF WELD, hereinafter referred to as County,
the ESTATE OF JAMES SARGENT, by the Personal Representative Wesley H. Sargent,
hereinafter referred to as Sargent, and MONFORT OF COLORADO, INC . ,
hereinafter referred to as Monfort,
WI TNESSETH :
WHEREAS, the Estate of James Sargent is currently the owner of the
Carpenter Homestead House which is located on the James Sargent Farm; and
WHEREAS, the Estate of James Sargent is desirous of giving said House
to the City of Greeley Museum for the placement of said House at the Centennial
Village; and
WHEREAS, said House is a part of the Lease and Option to Purchase
Agreement entered into February 1 , 1976 , by and between the Estate of
James Sargent and Monfort Feed Lots, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Monfort is desirous of releasing said Carpenter House from
the Lease and Option to Purchase in order that said House may be placed in
Centennial Village; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greeley is desirous of receiving said Carpenter
House in order that it might be placed at Centennial Village; and
WHEREAS, the County has agreed to move said House with City
cooperation to Centennial Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and
agreements contained herein, the parties hereto STIPULATE AND AGREE as
follows:
(1) Sargent and Monfort agree to release said Carpenter House to
the City of Greeley in order that it may be placed at Centennial Village.
(2) Monfort agrees to allow the County to move said House across land
owned by Monfort in order to get said House to adequate roads in order to move
said House to Centennial Village.
(3) County agrees to restore the property owned by Monfort and
which said Carpenter House is to be moved across to the condition thereof
prior to the moving of said Carpenter House.
(4) City agrees to accept said Carpenter House for use in Centennial
