RE: DISTRIBUTION OF PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TAXES (PILT) FOR 2011
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, has a policy
that PILT Funds will be distributed to the Weld County Public Works Fund and School Districts
RE-2, RE-9, RE-10J, RE-11, and RE-12 on the basis of a 50/50 percent split after one percent of
said funds have been taken off for CCI lobbying purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Controller has prepared Exhibit "A," attached hereto and
incorporated herein as part of this Resolution, showing the calculation of the distribution of PILT
Funds to the Public Works Fund and School Districts RE-2, RE-9, RE-10J, RE-11, and RE-12.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the PILT Funds shall be distributed to the County Public Works Fund and
School Districts RE-2, RE-9, RE-10J, RE-11, and RE-12, as more fully set forth on Exhibit "A,"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Weld County Controller be directed to
prepare County warrants payable to the above School Districts in the amount presented on
Exhibit "A."
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 17th day of August, A.D., 2011.
