SPECIAL NOTICE
The Roggen Telephone Cooperative Company has policies concerning the charges
connected with the cutting or destruction of any of our telephone cable plant. These
policies are as follows:
1). Fiber Optic Cable
For cutting our fiber optic cable when we were not called for a locate prior to digging or
if after the cable has been located and digging is required within 36 inches of the cable
and the proper precautions ( exposing the cable carefully by hand digging) have not been
met, the following charges will be assessed for the repair:
All labor at current rates, all parts and materials, all necessary vehicle and
equipment charges, with a MINIMUM CHARGE OF $5,000 and any liability that
Roggen Telephone occurs.
2). Main Copper Cable
For cutting our main copper cable when we were not called for a locate prior to digging
or if after the cable has been located and digging is required within 36 inches of the cable
and the proper precautions (exposing the cable carefully by hand digging) Have not been
met, the following charges will be assessed for the repair:
All labor at current rates, all parts and materials, all necessary vehicle and
equipment charges, with a MINIMUM CHARGE OF $1,500 PER CUT.
3). Subscriber Drop Cable
For cutting a subscriber drop cable when we were not called for a locate prior to digging
or if after the cable has been located and digging is required within 36 inches of the cable
and proper precautions ( exposing the cable carefully by hand digging) have not been
met, the following charges will be assessed for the repair:
All labor at current rates, all parts and materials, all necessary vehicle and
equipment charges, with a MINIMUM CHARGE OF $200 PER CABLE CUT.
