The local taxing authorities (county, school district, city, fire protection, and other special districts) set mill levies. The mill levy requested by each taxing authority is based on a projected budget and the property tax revenue required to adequately fund the services it provides to its taxpayers. The local taxing authorities hold budget hearings in the fall. If you are concerned about mill levies, we recommend that you attend these budget hearings. Since we don't really have any information to provide that shows there was some type of farming activity we probably don't have much room to move. I don't have a problem with a denial on the two vacant parcels. We won't be filing on. He's sending me the income and expense on the self storage and I should have that by Friday. It is a newly built self storage facility, complete in 2009. There are two extra lots I have been telling him since 2009 that he is going to lose his ag status. Finally in 2011 he does sometime, barely expectable as an ag endeavor. I have attached photos of a mount he says they planned barely on.
